The renewal and refurbishment of a protected structure is always a rewarding exercise. The task of developing the former Adelaide Hospital in Dublin’s Peter Street proved both a challenge and a real opportunity to employ the finest modern architectural skill while restoring and retaining the gracious Georgian ambiance of this historic structure. Originally dating from the 18th century, the group of houses that were remodelled to serve as a hospital in the late 1850’s form a part of the city’s rich inheritance from that period.
