The Capel Building

The Capel Building, on a site of almost one acre, extends the entire length of Mary’s Abbey and borders Little Strand Street and Capel Street. The site is adjacent to the Markets Area, scheduled for major redevelopment in the near future, and benefits from being situated on the Tallaght - IFSC Luas line. The building is located between the Four Courts and the Jervis Centre, both of which accommodate a Luas station, thus further highlighting the development’s superb location.

The building consists of a mixed development of 22,000 sq m with 10,000 sq m of office accommodation over five floors and mixed retail units on ground and lower-ground levels. The office accommodation ranges in size from 40 sq m to 900 sq m.  All of the units have been sold and the building is fully occupied.

In July 2006, Gary Rhodes added to his award-winning chain of upmarket restaurants with a new outlet, rhodes D7, at the Capel Building. This 250-cover restaurant offers Gary’s famous style of modern European cuisine, for which he has won 5 Michelin stars, in a slick and contemporary setting. Emphasis at rhodes D7 is on the quality of ingredients so that diners can sample the innovative and flavoursome dishes that have placed Gary Rhodes at the forefront of the culinary world.
